Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager to lead mission critical controls projects for data centers and other critical facilities in North Dakota. You will guide projects from kickoff through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery, and budget adherence while meeting customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in controls, automation, or electrical projects and excels at coordinating customers, engineering teams, and field personnel to deliver complex solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in controls, automation, electrical, industrial, or mission critical construction projects.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and customer relationships.
• Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, building automation, electrical controls, or related automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain after hire).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mission critical controls projects from award through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement, and project execution plans.
• Coordinate engineering, field installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Track project costs, change orders, purchase orders, and billing.
• Identify project risks and resolve technical and scheduling issues.
• Coordinate commissioning, system startup, testing, and final turnover.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular project updates to leadership.
