Job summary

Pine Creek Care Center is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a California long-term care facility. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

The supervisor will participate in discharge planning, quality assurance activities, and coordination with facility surveys to uphold high standards of resident care.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing supervision preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in the facility.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and update policies, manuals, and discharge plans as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure adherence by staff.
• Complete accident/incident reports and maintain required charts and records.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure accuracy of narcotic records.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys.
