Job summary

Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare Center is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide direct nursing care to residents and to oversee day-to-day nursing activities by nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and supervise the nursing staff to maintain the highest quality of care.

You will participate in quality assurance and coordinate with other departments to plan and implement resident care plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as may be requested.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Make daily rounds of the unit and oversee patient care activities.
