Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. You will be responsible for cleaning hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and guest rooms, assisting guests with housekeeping requests, and maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout the property.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a friendly demeanor to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas.
• Assist guests with housekeeping requests.
• Follow safety data sheet regulations when using chemicals.
• Move/furnish rooms and maintain cleanliness of furniture and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors; clean rugs and draperies.
• Collect soiled linens and restock supplies.
• Clean bathrooms and replenish with supplies.
• Restock room supplies and prepare cleaning cart for shift.
• Clean walls, windows, and woodwork; wipe surfaces.
• Empty trash and handle waste disposal.
• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms andother work areas.
• Assist with completing Guest requests related to housekeeping needs.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing andwaxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriatesupplies for shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposalarea.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Previous customer service experience
