Job summary

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home for the Veterans and spouses we serve. This role emphasizes the well-being of residents and a homelike environment within a single facility.

Typical duties include cleaning rooms and common areas, making beds, restocking supplies, and following infection prevention procedures. Training is provided, and there is emphasis on respect for resident privacy and personal space.

• Dependable, thorough, and respectful with pride in work.
• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare experience is helpful, but not required. We'll provide training.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize member rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean surfaces
• Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately
• Restock housekeeping supplies
• Follow infection prevention and cleaning procedures
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment
• Report maintenance, safety, or member concerns appropriately
• Respect members' belongings, privacy, and personal space

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for a dependable Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home for the Veterans and spouses we serve.

This role is about more than cleaning. Our Housekeepers are part of our members' everyday lives and play an important role in making our facility feel like home.

Schedule & Pay

Full-Time | 12:00pm - 8:00pm (every other weekend, required)

PRN/Casual | Minimum of 3 Shifts per Month
Starting at $16.00/hour

What Does Housekeeping Look Like Here?

You'll be responsible for maintaining assigned member rooms and common areas throughout the Veterans Home.

Your day may include cleaning and sanitizing member rooms and bathrooms, making beds, emptying trash, cleaning common areas, restocking supplies, and responding to housekeeping needs throughout the facility.

Because you're regularly working in members' living spaces, you'll also get to know the people who call our facility home. A friendly conversation and respect for someone's personal space can be just as important as making sure their room is clean.
