Job summary

Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking a Life Enrichment Aide to create meaningful, engaging experiences for Veterans and spouses in our community.

Lead group activities, spend one-on-one time with members, and help plan events. You will accompany members on outings, support holidays, and help keep residents connected to their interests and community.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities, games, socials, and special events.
• Spend one-on-one time with members based on their interests and needs.
• Help plan, prepare, set up, and clean-up activities.
• Encourage and assist members with participation.
• Accompany members on community outings and facility events.
• Assist members with transportation to and from activities.
• Document member participation as required.
• Communicate member interests, preferences, and needs with the Activities team.
• Bring creativity, patience, and a positive attitude to the work you do.

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for a Life Enrichment Aide to help create meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable experiences for the Veterans and spouses who call our community home.

Schedule & Pay

• Full-Time: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (every third weekend required)

• Part-Time: Varies; 16 hours per week (every third weekend required)
  Starting at $17.00/hour

What Does a Life Enrichment Aide Do?

No two days in Activities look exactly the same.

One day you might help with bingo, trivia, music, or a social event. Another might include accompanying members on a community outing, helping with a holiday celebration, spending one-on-one time with a member, or setting up for a special event.

Activities aren't just about keeping people busy. You'll help our members stay connected to their interests, their community, and the things that are important to them.

What You'll Do

• Lead and assist with group activities, games, socials, and special events

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need healthcare experience to be great at this job.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Friendly and comfortable starting conversations

• Comfortable leading both small and larger group activities

• Flexible when plans change

Experience with activities, recreation, senior living, customer service, education, childcare, or healthcare is helpful, but not required.
