Job summary

Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking CNAs to join a proud, compassionate team. You will provide hands-on care to Veterans and spouses in a homelike setting while building relationships through consistent routines and respectful support.

We offer Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekend Warrior, and Casual/PRN shifts with a two-week block rotation and an every-other-weekend/holiday rotation for FT staff. Starting wage is $18.00/hour with differential for PM/NOC shifts.

• Active eligibility on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
• Dependability and ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, quality care.
• Long-term care experience welcomed, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Assist with meals and hydration.
• Support toileting and continence needs.
• Record vital signs and other information as assigned.
• Answer call lights and respond to member needs.
• Observe changes and communicate with nurses.

Current Openings

• Full-Time AM: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Full-Time PM: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
• Part-Time PM: 2:00p.m - 10:00pm
• Weekend Warrior (Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday): AM or PM shift
• Casual/PRN

Full-time positions include an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

CNA | Starting at $18.00/hour

PM and NOC shifts earn additional shift differential.

What Being a CNA Looks Like Here

As a CNA, you'll work closely with our nurses and other members of the care team to provide quality, individualized care to our members.

Your shift may include:

• Assisting members with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Helping with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
• Assisting with meals and hydration
• Supporting members with toileting and continence needs
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs, weights, and other information as assigned
• Answering call lights and responding to member needs
• Observing members and communicating changes or concerns to the nurse
• Following individualized plans of care
• Helping maintain a clean, comfortable, and homelike environment
• Providing care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life
