Job summary

Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, part of the Installed Building Products family, is seeking a qualified estimator/project manager in Tempe, AZ. This role focuses on preparing detailed bid letters, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with sales and production to ensure competitive bids and accurate scope.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, at least two years in commercial construction as a superintendent, project manager, or estimator, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent, project manager, or estimator.
• Division 7 experience is preferred, but not required.
• Strong reading, writing and presentation skills.
• Solid mathematical skills including statistics and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, standardized quote letters and bids for prime bidders.
• Follow up on bids to determine competitiveness and scope differences.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine full scope.
• Negotiate prices and scope with prime contractors upon award.
• Prepare reports on progress, materials, and site visits.
