Job summary

Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, part of the Installed Building Products family, seeks an estimator to review bid statuses, prepare detailed quotes, and coordinate with sales and production to ensure competitive bids.

The role requires 2+ years in commercial construction, ideally with Division 7 experience, and involves site visits, pricing reviews, and coordination with architects and contractors to optimize scope and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent, project manager, or estimator.
• Experience with Division 7 is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attend sales meetings to review bid statuses and receive new assignments.
• Prepare detailed, standardized quote letters and bids for prime bidders.
• Follow up on bids and analyze scope differences with competitors.
• Analyze drawings, specifications and addenda to determine full scope of work.
• Perform cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes including planning and scheduling.
