Job summary

Arizona Biltmore, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property, is seeking a Banquet Cook III in Phoenix. You will maintain and prepare food across kitchen stations, ensure quality, and follow recipes.

This full-time role requires availability evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; prior hotel/resort experience is preferred. Ideal candidates have at least one year of professional kitchen experience, a high school diploma, and food-safety certifications such as ServSafe.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of cooking experience in a professional kitchen.
• Arizona Food Handler Card required; ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Transport heavy food products as needed for production.
• Check and control proper storage, portion control, and freshness of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigeration, storage, and work areas to Health Department standards.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and functioning properly.
• Read recipes and perform math for ingredient quantities; place requisitions for supplies.

Hotel Website, Instagram, FacebookWhat you will have an opportunity to do:Arizona Biltmore offers a diverse culinary experience with 2 full service restaurants, 2 bars, 2 pools, in-room dining, a café, a large banquet department, and a pastry shop.As a Banquet Cook III, you will be responsible for maintaining, setting up, producing food and controlling quality of all food items prepared in the different kitchen stations, i.e., meats, fish, vegetables, bread products, sauces, stocks, seasoning, etc. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:Prepare all food items according to standard recipes or, as otherwise specified by supervisor, to ensure consistency of product to the guest; requires transportation of heavy food products.Check and control the proper storage of product, especially on all fresh produce, checking on portion control, to maintain quality product.Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas clean, working condition in order to comply with Health Department regulations.Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition to comply with Health Department regulations.Visually inspect, select and use only the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items. Read and employ math skills for following recipes.
