Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality’s Arizona Biltmore property in Phoenix seeks a PM Pastry Cook I to produce baked goods for multiple outlets, assist with banquets, and maintain par levels. You will work with precision to meet quality standards while handling inventory, labeling, and storage procedures.

The role requires at least 3 years of pastry experience in a high-volume setting, plus hotel experience and preferred upscale dining background. Evening hours and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Apprenticeship or accredited Culinary School preferred.
• At least three (3) years pastry experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• One (1) year of hotel experience preferred.
• Upscale / luxury dining experience preferred.
• Maricopa County Food Handler Card and ServeSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce baked goods for outlets and assist with banquet production.
• Maintain pars and ensure timely production meeting quality standards.
• Date, label, and store items properly; rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and resort policies at all times.
• Support daily operations during evening shifts (2pm–10:30pm).

Hotel Website, Instagram, FacebookWhat you will have an opportunity to do:As a PM Pastry Cook I, you will be responsible for producing baked goods for the outlets, assisting with banquet production and weekly brunches, and keeping up pars while ensuring all production is ready in a timely manner with meets quality standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for production of outlet items on time and to specs.Take daily inventory and make out requisition for days production.Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go.Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled. Follow food handler’s guidelines.Rotate oldest stock out first, check with chef if freshness is questionable.Practice and abide by all Resort rules and regulations, safety and sanitation policies at all times.Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance. Wear proper uniform and footwear at all times.Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
