Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Operator for the Gurdon Plywood facility. The role supports plywood panel production, including lifting, assembly, and equipment operation. Orientation starts on day shift with permanent shifts assigned after training.

Candidates should be flexible to work first, second or third shifts, overtime, and holidays. The plant emphasizes safety and teamwork while producing high-quality wood products.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing or related environments.
• Experience using a smartphone, computer, or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Pull and lift plywood, panels, or scraps up to 25 pounds.
• Assemble veneer cores by layering sheets according to specified patterns and project requirements.
• Assist in clean up, operation, and maintenance of production equipment including machine operation and forklift operation.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines and identify safety hazards.
• Read and comprehend written instructions to complete tasks.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers and other associates to meet goals.
• Cross train on various machines to increase operational knowledge.
• Work any hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
