Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Prosperity, SC is hiring a dedicated Millwright for our plywood plant to troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, perform preventive maintenance, and keep a clean, safe work environment. This night-shift, 12-hour role on a 2/2/3 schedule requires experience with industrial maintenance, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, plus willingness to work overtime when needed.

You will contribute to a culture of safety and teamwork while following established procedures to ensure

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, pumps and lubrication.
Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
Must be willing to work night shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Inspect, remove and install mechanical drive components including bearings, pulleys, belts and motors.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic system components.
Perform lubrication maintenance and troubleshoot related failures.
Assist in preventative maintenance planning and parts replacement.
Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
Provide personal hand tools as needed.
