Job summary
Georgia-Pacific is hiring a dedicated Millwright for our plywood plant in Prosperity, SC. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold a clean, safe work environment.
The role operates on a 12-hour night shift in a 2/2/3 schedule and requires willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, with proficiency in aligning motors and bearings, and
Qualifications
- 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
- 1 year of precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps.
- 1 year of troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and install mechanical drive components: bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, sprockets, gear reducers, motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance; participate in scheduled parts replacement.
- Adhere to safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Willing to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule and overtime as needed.
