Qualifications

• Five years of experience in piping systems for heating, water, and drainage.
• Completion of an approved plumbing trade apprenticeship.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including one year of journey level plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Teach plumbing practices for water distribution, drainage, heating, fire sprinklers, and building plumbing.
• Lead inmate work crews, assign schedules, and inspect completed plumbing tasks.
• Issue, inventory, and account for tools and materials used during training and work assignments.
• Determine required materials, submit purchase requests, and prepare for plumbing projects.
• Select teaching approaches based on project needs, inmate skill levels, and learning progress.
• Maintain training documentation, attendance lists, and assignment details.
