Job summary

Forsyth County's General Services Department is seeking a Trades Specialist to maintain the LEDC plumbing systems and related facilities. You will diagnose and repair plumbing issues, service high-usage fixtures, and coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and building maintenance teams on multi-trade problems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of plumbing maintenance; a NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and at least three years in plumbing maintenance.
  • Valid NC driver's license required.
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled to skilled maintenance in one or more trades.
  • Higher education may substitute for all or part of the experience.
  • CJIS background check required due to security policy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine work orders repairing or replacing potable and non-potable water lines, fixtures, and draining lines.
  • Maintain and repair toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibs, and drains.
  • Preventative maintenance of domestic and wastewater lines and drainage systems; install fixtures, valves, and piping.
  • Participate in special projects and general maintenance of building facilities.
  • Assist Skilled Trades Specialists and collaborate with other trades as needed.
  • Perform related work as required.
