Job summary

Millersville University seeks a Building Maintenance Foreman - Plumbing Shop to lead skilled plumbing operations across campus. This permanent, full-time role oversees installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, and manages assigned personnel.

You will ensure safety, schedule work, estimate resources, and coordinate with campus occupants. The position is AFSCME represented, with a daytime shift and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level experience across at least two trades (building, electrical, mechanical) or equivalent.
• PA DEP Water Plant Operator license must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools; adherence to safety standards and trade practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws, codes, and standards.
• Manage personnel, scheduling, and training within the plumbing shop.
• Oversee campus potable water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems.
• Maintain records of labor, materials, and contract work.
