KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Plumbing Service Journeyman to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, water heaters, and related equipment. You will join a team delivering reliable service with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to meet physical demands. A journeyman/master license is preferred; health and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training.
• Journeyman's or Master license preferred; experienced apprentices considered.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to pass MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights over 4 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair water, gas, air, and drain piping systems.
• Install and repair water heaters, boilers, pumps, backflow preventers, and thermostatic valves.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes (cast iron, steel, brass, PVC, copper).
• Join pipes with screws, bolts, fittings, solder, solvent, or caulk joints.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, tubs, storage tanks).
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: drain cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and clearly.
• Maintain good customer relations; tidy work areas; address concerns promptly.
• Operate jetting equipment; ensure safe site practices.
• Observe safety guidelines and maintain underground safety during trenching.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair water, gas, air, and drain piping systems.
• Install and repair water heaters, domestic hot water boilers, circulating pumps, backflow preventers, and thermostatic mixing values.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of cast iron, steel, brass, PVC, and copper.
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and hot water storage tanks.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform drain cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain good customer relations by communicating clearly, leaving work areas clean and orderly, and addressing customer concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass an MVR check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights in excess of 4 feet.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to interpret various instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective communication skills via telephone to customers and dispatch.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Journeyman's or Master license preferred; experienced apprentices considered.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to adjust focus for close-up work, with or without correction.
• Ability to pass a physical ability test.
