Job summary

GEMCOConstructors, LLC, based in Indianapolis area, is hiring a Plumbing Journeyman to plan, coordinate, and supervise new construction and remodeling projects. You will work under supervision to handle repairs, installs, and routine maintenance on piping systems, water heaters, and related appliances across sites in Indiana and beyond.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems, plus the ability to estimate material costs and labor.

Qualifications

• Completion of vocational school certificate program, associated degree, or apprenticeship preferred
• Any combination totaling four years (48 months) work experience in building construction, remodeling, construction project coordination experience
• Available to work on-call and respond immediately to plumbing emergencies

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing problems and perform repairs
• Install and/or repair household appliances like dishwashers, water heaters, toilets, sinks, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
• Knowledge of building material costs and wages
• Proficient with plumbing tools, materials, and equipment

Position Summary
