Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (heat pumps, mini-splits, etc.).
• Inspect, repair/replace equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Explain repair options and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
• Adhere to safety policies on every job site.

Position Summary:

Step into a high-performance opportunity with IRBIS Air Plumbing Electrical as an _ HVAC Service Technician _ where your skills directly drive your income. This role is built for those who own their results, combining steady hourly pay with strong commissions—putting top performers in the _ $180K–$190K range _. You’ll diagnose, repair, and optimize systems while delivering real value to homeowners.

The ideal candidate is a driven, sharp, and customer-aware technician who thrives in a performance-based environment. You move with urgency, communicate clearly, and turn service calls into revenue opportunities. If you’re mechanically strong and motivated by performance-based earnings, this is your lane.

Core Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and efficiently repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a residential setting (heat pumps, mini-splits, water heaters, IAQ accessories)
• Inspect, perform equipment repairs/replacements, and conduct routine preventative maintenance
• Discuss system malfunctions, clearly explain repair options, and recommend maintenance or improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency
• Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures on every job site

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience servicing and repairing HVAC units
• Must be able to handle a physical workload, including lifting and working in confined spaces
• Estimating and Quoting ability for accurately pricing services and presenting options
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Undergo a background checkAuthorized to work in the U.S
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly preferred to assist with diverse team communication

Pay Range: Earn $180K-$190K A Year + Comissions!

Compensation Breakdown:

• Hourly: $23/hr + Commissions
• Includes Commission Pay - Revenue Based (20% commission on completed Revenue, 4% on generated leads for equipment sales that converted and 5% on self sold equipment sale job)
• $25 and $50 review bonus Referral Bonus / Customer Review Bonus
• Top Earners Make $180k - $190k Annually!

Location: San Jose, CA

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday - Friday
• Occasional Saturdays
• 8 Hour Shift / 40 Hours Weekly
