Qualifications

• Competent with tools and resources for basic service calls.
• Knowledge of plumbing and gas codes and safety standards.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Hold at least one state license or certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing systems and guide customers to informed buying decisions.
• Complete service calls within area of expertise.
• Establish customer rapport to instill confidence and sell the right products/services.
• Ask lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling malfunctions.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing finance options and maintenance plans.
• Explain replacement opportunities for aging or underperforming systems.
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-stocked truck.

The Big Task

Diagnose and repair plumbing systems and lead customers to informed, and confident buying decisions.

Key Sub Tasks

• Complete any plumbing residential service calls within their current area of expertise.
• Establish customer rapport to instill confidence in team and sell the right products and services.
• Ask proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Ability to exceed minimum KPI goal.
• Successfully complete follow up calls.
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Competent in the use of all tools and resources related to basic service calls.
• Knowledge of Plumbing and gas codes and proper safety standards.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Ability to take timely action to solve problems using established policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety, rules, and procedures.
• Hold at least one state license or certification.
• Engaged in further technical development (i.e. Different disciplines and cross-training).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Rodenhiser Home Services is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fair and equitable pay practices. The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000–$125,000, based on responsibilities, experience, and other relevant factors. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other variable compensation depending on their position. Total compensation is determined through a structured review considering experience, education, certifications, and licenses.
