Job summary

Rodenhiser Home Services Inc. is seeking a field installer helper to learn and contribute to residential and commercial HVAC installations. You will assist Lead Installers, properly stage jobs, and help keep trucks and paperwork organized while building strong customer rapport.

The role offers in‑house training, a supportive team, and opportunities to advance within a growing family‑owned business. Competitive pay and potential bonuses are noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver\'s license with clean driving record.
• Pursues ongoing training and licensing.
• Ability to work independently with guidance from Lead Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Installer in HVAC system installations with accuracy.
• Stage jobs properly and follow quality checklists.
• Maintain clean, organized job site and stocked truck.
• Complete accurate time entries and paperwork promptly.
• Build good customer rapport to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to finish jobs on time.
• Join pipes to form complete HVAC circuit and source connections.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.
• Participate in department meetings and trainings.

The Big Task

Responsible for helping and learning to accurately install HVAC systems in residential and/or commercial structures.

Key Sub Tasks

• Assist Lead Installer in all HVAC system installations; being efficient and accurate.
• Assist in properly staging jobs, adhering to quality checklist.
• Support Lead Installer in maintaining a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Assist in completing accurate and timely paperwork, including time portal entries.
• Establish good customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction.
• Work with Project Manager and Install Coordinators to ensure completion of jobs.
• Join pipes or tubing to the equipment and to the fuel, water or refrigerant source in order to form a complete circuit.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.
• Participate actively in all department meetings, technical and vendor trainings

Desired Skills and Experience

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work independently with guidance from Lead Technician.
• Enrolled in school for their license.
• Displays an understanding of all Rodenhiser policies regarding paperwork, truck stock lists, truck cleanliness and tool maintenance.
• Ability and willingness to learn from Lead Technicians.
• Pursues constant training for their field.
• Know how to establish customer rapport through entire process.

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000-$60,000, based on responsibilities, experience, and other relevant factors. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other variable compensation depending on their position. Total compensation is determined through a structured review considering experience, education, certifications, and licenses.
