Job summary

American Vintage Home in Evanston, IL is seeking a results-driven Service Manager to lead a high-performing team of technicians. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a customer-focused culture, with one-on-one training from industry experts to help you excel.

Responsibilities include mentoring the team, driving service excellence, and participating in hiring. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm, plus one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in home services or related field.
• Grounded, approachable leadership style with a people-first mindset.
• Strong ability to communicate the value of the trades and foster pride among technicians.
• Organizational skills and a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and mentor technicians, creating personalized career development plans.
• Instill pride in the trades and demonstrate their value to customers.
• Hold the team and yourself accountable for high-quality service and timely results.
• Act as the go-to resource for technician questions during and after hours.
• Monitor service calls to ensure excellence in execution and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct performance reviews, set measurable goals, and identify growth opportunities.
• Manage ride-along and after-hours schedules; collaborate on hiring and onboarding.
