Job summary

Len The Plumber Heating & Air is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead a high-performing residential plumbing team in Halethorpe, MD. This hands-on leadership role drives revenue, field performance, and customer satisfaction while coaching technicians and coordinating with dispatch and branch leadership.

You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure safety and code compliance, and support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing development to sustain service excellence and company growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of plumbing leadership, supervisory, or management experience within a residential plumbing service environment is required.
• Strong understanding of residential plumbing service operations, technician performance, and customer service best practices.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop field service technicians in a performance-driven environment.
• Experience with field service management software; ServiceTitan strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential Plumbing Service Technicians to achieve revenue, productivity, conversion, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Provide hands-on field coaching, technical guidance, and ongoing performance feedback to strengthen technician capabilities and service quality.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs, field visits, and team meetings to reinforce expectations, identify development opportunities, and drive accountability.
• Partner with dispatch to optimize technician scheduling, call assignments, workforce utilization, and daily service operations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, average ticket, close rates, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service performance, profitability, and customer retention.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention efforts to build a strong, engaged technician team.
• Oversee daily operational activities, including service ticket reviews, payroll coordination, inventory management, and field support.
• Collaborate with Branch Leadership and cross-functional teams to execute business strategies and achieve operational goals.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
