Commercial Plumbing Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects throughout Arizona. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization known for quality craftsmanship, strong client relationships, and a commitment to operational excellence.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, field leadership, vendors, and internal teams while driving operational success and financial performance across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate is a proven commercial plumbing professional with strong leadership skills, sound business acumen, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced construction environment.

What You'll Do
Project Leadership & Execution
  • Manage multiple commercial plumbing projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate activities between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address schedule, budget, labor, and quality challenges.
  • Lead project turnover meetings and establish successful execution strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management & Profitability
  • Manage project budgets, labor productivity, material costs, and overall financial performance.
  • Review job cost reports and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts, WIP reports, cost-to-complete projections, and profitability analyses.
  • Oversee project billing, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure projects meet financial objectives.
  • Support budgeting and planning efforts during preconstruction.
Scheduling & Resource Planning
  • Coordinate manpower needs with field leadership and operations teams.
  • Ensure labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors are properly scheduled to meet project milestones.
  • Partner with suppliers and vendors to support timely procurement and deliveries.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate progress, support field teams, and resolve issues quickly.
Change Management & Preconstruction Support
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope changes and project impacts.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage RFIs and project correspondence.
  • Price, negotiate, and manage change orders from initiation through approval.
  • Partner with estimating teams during project turnover and execution.
  • Participate in job walks, constructability reviews, and project planning discussions.
Leadership & Client Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support field supervision through clear communication, resource planning, and operational guidance.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate expectations, milestones, and project updates.
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership regarding project status, manpower, risks, and financial performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Safety
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with established quality standards.
  • Promote and support safety initiatives across all assigned projects.
  • Conduct periodic site walks to monitor workmanship, project progress, and safety compliance.
  • Partner with field leadership to resolve deficiencies and maintain exceptional project quality.
Qualifications
Required
  • 10+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multifamily, hospitality, education, commercial, healthcare, and tenant improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, including underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish phases.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, forecasting, budgeting, and project financial management.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred
  • Experience with Foundation Software or similar construction accounting platforms.
  • Experience in the Arizona commercial construction market.
  • Track record leading large-scale commercial plumbing projects exceeding $5M in value.
  • Background working with self-perform mechanical or plumbing contractors.
