Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Mechanic to assist on commercial projects across Roanoke and surrounding areas. You will help install plumbing systems, read construction drawings, and ensure installations progress from start to finish on K-12, university, and healthcare projects.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, basic trade understanding, strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints.
• Strong teamwork and communication to support the on-site crew.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the job site crew with installation of plumbing systems.
• Work with fixtures installation and finish-to-start processes.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints for coordination.
• Mentor helpers and apprentices as needed.
• Support other mechanical trades when required.
• Maintain dependability to complete projects from start to finish.
