Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Mechanic to assist on commercial projects across Roanoke and surrounding areas. You will help install plumbing systems, read construction drawings, and ensure installations progress from start to finish on K-12, university, and healthcare projects.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, basic trade understanding, strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety.

The Role:

The Plumbing Mechanic is responsible for assisting the job site crew with the installation of plumbing systems that bring the building to life. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.

What You'll Do:

• Thorough knowledge of the plumbing trade including layout, install (under and/or above ground)
• Experience installing fixtures
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must be open to helping other mechanical trades as needed
• Must be dependable and willing to complete a project from start to finish
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
