Job summary

MetroPower in Florida is seeking a results-driven operations leader to forecast weekly work, assign duties and optimize field productivity. You will analyze operational data, identify trends, and drive improvements across the branch.

The role includes mentoring teams, participating in recruiting, ensuring safety training (OSHA, First Aid, CPR), conducting performance appraisals, and pursuing continuous development while managing billing, collections, and working capital to hit the branch's net

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience leading workplace safety efforts.
  • 3-5 prior experience in plumbing.

Job description

  • Forecast what is to be done on a week-to-week basis, when, and by whom
  • Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximize efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and operational data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and results
  • Mentor, coach, and lead personnel across the organization, building a high-performing and growth-oriented team environment
  • Participate in employee recruitment, hiring, counseling, and terminations (ensure alignment with company policy)
  • Ensure all employees meet or exceed their required safety training (OSHA, First Aid, CPR, etc.)
  • Provide performance appraisals, feedback and growth opportunities for team members
  • Promote continuous learning, professional development, and improvements
  • Drive productivity in field operations by implementing process improvements and utilizing tools that enhance labor efficiency
  • Achieve minimum budgeted net profit for branch
  • Manage billing and collections
  • Track accounts receivable and managing working capital

Qualifications And Requirements
  • 5 years' experience leading workplace safety efforts required.
  • 3-5 prior experience in plumbing.
Experience, Skill And Abilities
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and service their needs, including working weekends, holidays, extended hours, and 2nd or 3rd shifts as the customer or project requires. Technical knowledge for the applicable trade.
  • Ability to think conceptually, apply practical solutions, and make decisions quickly, and have capabilities to self-start, display solid work ethics, and aspire to move ahead, be trusted by customers and employees, i.e. – the ability to serve.
