Status: Full-Time / Exempt Position Overview

The Plumbing Lead provides daily leadership and technical direction to the plumbing team to ensure safe, code-compliant, and efficient execution of plumbing installations, service calls, and repairs. This role balances hands‑on technical support with crew leadership responsibilities, ensuring that projects are completed to quality standards, safely, and in alignment with customer expectations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead field operations for plumbing projects, ensuring all work meets local and state plumbing codes.
• Workflow Coordination: Oversee daily job site flow, material needs, and equipment usage for residential or commercial projects.
• Quality & Safety: Champion a strong safety culture, including proper use of PPE and adherence to all OSHA and job-site safety protocols.
• Team Engagement: Train and mentor apprentices/technicians; conduct daily briefings on project priorities and safety.
• Client Relations: Act as the point of contact for client questions or concerns while on‑site, ensuring professional communication.
• Operational Excellence: Track project progress, manage parts/inventory needs, and ensure accurate completion of service documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Licensure: Valid Master or Journeyman Plumbing License required.
• Technical Expertise: Strong diagnostic skills and deep understanding of plumbing systems (residential/commercial), pipe fitting, and drainage/venting.
• Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading teams in a trade environment.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and make sound field decisions under pressure.
• Documentation: Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and accurately complete service reports/invoices.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build team accountability and maintain client satisfaction.

Physical Demands
