Job summary

City of Nampa is seeking a Plumbing Inspector II to join the Building Department. This full-time role conducts residential and commercial plumbing inspections to ensure compliance with city codes and state regulations.

You will assist developers and the public while applying strong judgment and customer service skills. The ideal candidate holds an Idaho Journeyman License and an IAPMO certificate or the ability to obtain within 6 months, with at least 5 years of inspection experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Idaho Journeyman License.
• IAPMO plumbing inspector certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months from hire.
• 5+ years of plumbing inspection experience.
• Valid Idaho driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inspections and field corrections.
• Provide liaison between the Department, public agencies, businesses, and the public.
• Perform inspections for non-permitted work and dangerous building conditions.
• Prepare program documentation, reports, and code-related positions.
