DSG Supply is seeking a Plumbing Inside Sales Associate in Ames, IA. The role writes orders, handles calls, prepares bids, and delivers strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Typical duties include writing orders, giving quotes, and providing technical support while maintaining inventory and counter displays. This position emphasizes ESOP culture, teamwork, and ongoing product education to drive customer success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years college/technical school or 3-5 years field experience in plumbing products.
• Excellent relationship building and customer service skills.
• Strong communication and ability to multi-task.
• Proficient with computers; Eclipse or ERP experience preferred.
• Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders.
• Assist customers with product inquiries professionally.
• Write and help fill orders accurately and timely.
• Generate quotations and follow up on quotes.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team to resolve issues promptly.
• Restock counter area and monitor inventory.
• Maintain a clean, appealing counter display.
• Identify opportunities to upsell related products.
• Continue product knowledge education through trainings.
