Job summary

DSG is seeking a Plumbing & HVAC Inside Sales Associate for our Saint Paul, MN location. Typical day includes facilitating customer orders, answering product inquiries, and preparing quotes.

You will write orders, provide customer service, and support technical queries while collaborating with the sales team. This role requires a high school diploma and 3–5 years of HVAC experience or 2+ years of college/technical training.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of college/technical schooling or 3–5 years field experience in Plumbing & HVAC products.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Active listening to determine customer needs and maintain relationships.
• Problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computers; Eclipse or ERP experience.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders.
• Assist customers with product inquiries professionally.
• Write and occasionally fill orders accurately and promptly.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team to resolve issues quickly.
• Restock the counter area according to brand/location.
• Monitor inventory and remove damaged items.
• Maintain a clean, appealing counter display.
• Identify opportunities to upsell compatible products.
• Engage in ongoing product education through manufacturer trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
