Job summary

C&C Myers Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric is seeking a detail‑oriented Dispatcher to coordinate service appointments and technician schedules across Charleston. You will respond to inquiries, prioritize requests by urgency, and maintain clear communication with customers and field staff.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in dispatching and customer service, proficiency with MS Office, and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle escalated customer concerns professionally.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with the Greater Charleston service area.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends when business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch technicians to service calls, maintenance appointments, and emergency repairs.
• Prioritize service requests based on urgency, technician availability, skill set, and geographic location.
• Monitor technician schedules throughout the day and adjust to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Receive and respond to customer inquiries, service requests, and complaints via phone, email, and other channels.
• Provide customers with service availability, estimated arrival times, and updates regarding delays or schedule changes.
• Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction and address any additional concerns.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding the status of their service appointments.
• Coordinate emergency service requests and dispatch technicians promptly to meet customer needs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technician activities, work orders, and service requests.
• Enter and update information within the company's dispatching and customer management systems.
• Generate and distribute reports related to service performance, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with technicians, customer service representatives, and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
