Buro Happold is seeking a motivated Plumbing and Fire Protection Intern to join our team and contribute to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in a collaborative environment.

You will assist in designing plumbing and fire protection systems, contribute to BIM modeling, and work with multidisciplinary teams on project coordination, site visits, and quality control. This internship offers hands-on experience, flexible Hybrid work options, and exposure to our global network of experts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in mechanical, fire protection, civil, sanitary, environmental or architectural engineering.
• Coursework in mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid hydraulics/dynamics.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Internship experience in engineering related firm is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems under supervision.
• Contribute to Revit/BIM modeling from schematic design through construction administration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project coordination.
• Participate in site visits to verify conditions and observe progress.
