Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment is assisting an established Atlanta-area commercial plumbing contractor to hire a Field Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple projects. You will manage about 21 field employees across 10 crews, coordinate with General Manager, Project Managers and Foremen, and ensure schedules and manpower are optimized with strong plumbing knowledge.

This hands-on leadership role offers a $95,000 annual salary, annual bonus, company truck, laptop, and health

Job description

Our client are an established commercial plumbing contractor serving the Atlanta area. The company works on a variety of commercial projects, including tenant improvements, ground-up industrial and manufacturing facilities, K-12 schools, medical office buildings, dental offices, and projects involving medical gas.

The company is growing and is looking for an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee its field operations and help coordinate multiple projects and crews.

About the Role

The Field Superintendent will oversee the company's overall field plumbing operation rather than focusing on one individual project.

You will oversee approximately 21 field employees across 10 crews and work closely with the General Manager, Project Managers, and Foremen.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee all field manpower across multiple projects
• Coordinate crews and determine where workers are needed
• Work closely with Foremen to schedule manpower
• Coordinate with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule
• Serve as the link between Project Management and field personnel
• Manage and support Foremen and field crews
• Monitor productivity and project progress
• Help resolve field issues and provide technical support
• Ensure manpower is being used efficiently across projects

This is a hands-on leadership and management role requiring strong commercial plumbing knowledge.

Hydronics experience is not required.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial plumbing professional with strong leadership and field management experience.

You should:

• Have strong, broad knowledge of commercial plumbing
• Understand plumbing installation and field operations inside and out
• Have experience managing Foremen and/or multiple crews
• Be comfortable overseeing several projects at the same time
• Know how to allocate and schedule manpower
• Be able to communicate effectively with Project Managers and field employees
• Understand project schedules and how field operations impact them
• Be able to provide technical guidance to Foremen and crews
• Be organized, dependable, and capable of managing changing priorities
