Job summary

The Civi Group LLC in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems on medium to large construction projects. You will analyze blueprints, collaborate with project teams, and negotiate with suppliers to keep estimates accurate and competitive.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in a related field, 4–6 years of plumbing estimating experience, and strong knowledge of plumbing codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 4–6 years of construction estimating experience with a focus on plumbing.
Strong familiarity with plumbing codes and standards.
Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Analyze project blueprints and technical documents to assess material, labor, and time requirements.
Collaborate with project management to provide cost information and risk assessments.
Ensure estimates are accurate and competitive reflecting client needs and market conditions.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and contracts.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand scope and requirements.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to meet specifications and regulations.
Maintain a database of past projects and bids to refine costing models.
