Job summary

The Civi Group LLC is seeking a Plumbing Estimator for medium to large scale construction projects in the Hingham area. The role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems, analyzing project docs to determine materials, labor, and scheduling needs, and collaborating with project management to support cost decisions.

Responsibilities include analyzing blueprints, coordinating with stakeholders, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining cost databases to improve accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in construction estimating with a plumbing focus.
• Strong familiarity with plumbing codes and standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software (QuickPen) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver's License for site visits and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints and documents to assess material, labor, and time requirements.
• Collaborate with project management to provide cost information and risk assessments for planning.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and competitive, reflecting client needs and market conditions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and terms.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand scope and requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to ensure compliance with specs and regulations.
• Maintain a database of past projects and bids to refine costing models.
