Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for plumbing construction projects in the Manassas, VA area. You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop project pricing in collaboration with Preconstruction, Project Management, and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in plumbing or related trades, with proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or QuoteSoft, and the ability to manage multiple bids and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience within Plumbing, Mechanical Construction, or related trades (MUST HAVE)
• Experience performing Quantity Takeoffs from Construction Drawings, Plans, and Specifications
• Strong understanding of Plumbing systems, materials, equipment, and installation requirements
• Experience developing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates
• Ability to review Bid Documents, identify project scope, and develop accurate pricing
• Experience with Estimating/Takeoff software such as Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, PlanSwift
• Ability to manage multiple bids, priorities, and deadlines

Our team provides HVAC and Plumbing Installation, Service, Maintenance, Repair, and Construction Warranty Support. Job Details

As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive Estimates for Plumbing Construction Projects. You will review Plans and Specifications, perform detailed Quantity Takeoffs, develop Project Pricing, and work closely with Preconstruction, Project Management, and Operations Teams to support successful Bids and profitable Project Execution.

MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years of Estimating experience within Plumbing, Mechanical Construction, or a related Construction Trade
• Experience performing Quantity Takeoffs from Construction Drawings, Plans, and Specifications
• Strong understanding of Plumbing Systems, Materials, Equipment, and Installation requirements
• Experience developing Labor, Material, Equipment, and Subcontractor Cost Estimates
• Ability to review Bid Documents, identify Project Scope, and develop accurate Project Pricing
• Experience with Estimating and/or Takeoff Software such as Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, PlanSwift, or similar
• Ability to manage multiple Bids, Priorities, and Deadlines

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience Estimating Commercial and/or Multifamily Plumbing Projects
• Experience with both New Construction and Renovation Projects
• Knowledge of HVAC or broader Mechanical Systems
• Experience soliciting and evaluating Vendor and Subcontractor Pricing
• Experience supporting Projects from Preconstruction through Project Management handoff
• Familiarity with Value Engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities
