Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with Multifamily & Residential new construction HVAC and/or Plumbing experience to join a growing team in Manassas, VA. This on-site, permanent role offers full benefits and compensation up to $125k DOE.

You will lead a team of HVAC/Plumbing professionals, manage subcontractors, allocate resources, monitor performance, control costs, and ensure compliance with codes. A degree in Construction or Engineering and 5+ years in PM are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction or Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in HVAC/Plumbing within construction.
• Strong leadership and resource allocation skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Solid understanding of construction design and estimating.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP.

A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the HVAC/Plumbing sector of the Construction industry. This role is best suited to a hands‑on leader who has a strong background in project management, team leadership, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and cost control. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors and suppliers, and must have a solid understanding of construction design and estimating knowledge. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including multifamily and residential builds.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of HVAC/Plumbing professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Allocate resources effectively across various projects to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth and development.
• Implement cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality materials and services are delivered in a timely manner.
• Utilize your construction design and estimating knowledge to develop accurate project plans and forecasts.
• Oversee all aspects of HVAC/Plumbing projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and completion.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Use your expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and MEP to troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and ensure these are met or exceeded.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry, specifically in HVAC/Plumbing.
• Proven track record in team leadership and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of performance monitoring and cost control strategies.
• Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Solid understanding of construction design and estimating.
• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP.
• Experience working on multifamily and residential projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
