Duties & Responsibilities

Barton Associates is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Engineer to join our team. This position is expected to:

• Develop and design plumbing design systems for healthcare, education, and senior living facilities, along with multi-family and mixed-use complex projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to understand project requirements and provide innovative solutions.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, coordinate with contractors, and ensure proper plumbing system installation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualified plumbing engineer candidates should:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in plumbing system design and engineering, preferably within an MEP firm.
• Experience with healthcare and/or educational projects in a consulting engineering environment is a plus.
• Have advanced experience working with AutoCAD and REVIT.
