Your Impact:

At WNA Engineering, the ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and possess a strong focus in construction and plumbing systems design to effectively understand how to execute our vision and mission. Serving as the Plumbing Design Engineer, you will be an asset in the design of a variety of projects from the many industries we serve. The Plumbing Design Engineer will report directly to the Plumbing & Fire Protection Team Manager. This position is available for our Pittsburgh and Portersville, PA offices.

Plumbing Design Engineer Priorities:

1. Design commercial plumbing systems on a variety of projects.
2. Develop, prepare, and coordinate drawings utilizing applicable standards and codes.
3. Coordinate with Code Officials and provide code summaries for projects.
4. Review and coordinate vendor shop drawings according to compliance requirements.
5. Support project time budgeting and prepare project cost budgets.
6. Collaborate with the entire design team and project principals.
7. Contribute to the overall business development of the company.

What you need:

1. Minimum Associates or Technical Degree in Engineering, Construction or similar.
2. Minimum of 3 years designing plumbing systems for the building construction industry.
3. Proven project experience from design phase through final construction.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of Plumbing systems and building and energy codes.
5. Experience working with Water/Sewer Authorities and Local Municipalities.
6. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit applications.
7. High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and honesty with one's abilities.
8. Excellent Communication skills and the desire to take on challenges.
9. PE or EIT; CPDT, CPD, or GPD certifications a plus.
10. Minimal travel availability when necessary.
