Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) is seeking an entry‑level engineer in Texas to join our design, engineering, and planning team. You will learn SSR standards, perform design analyses, and support BIM workflows using Revit and AutoCAD on active projects.

You will coordinate with disciplines, assist with documentation, and participate in field visits. The role requires an ABET‑accredited degree with two years of experience, passing the FE exam, and EIT certification.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited engineering degree with two years of experience.
• FE exam passed and EIT certification with state licensure.
• Experience with design analysis and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply SSR standards on active projects.
• Assist design analyses and perform engineering calculations.
• Support production of designs in Revit/CAD and coordinate with teams.
• Coordinate with disciplines and provide technical information.
• Participate in meetings with owners, clients, and architects.
• Help develop man-hour budgets and document progress.
• Assist with proposals, documentation, and presentations.
• Attend job-site visits to observe conditions and progress.
• Read drawings and maintain organized files.
• Mentor EIT I and assist PMs as needed.
