Job summary

DBR in San Antonio is seeking a Plumbing Designer II to lead design work on multiple projects from initiation through construction. You will coordinate with BIM staff, generate schematic and development drawings, and perform equipment sizing and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree with 2–4 years of related experience and are prepared to work on-site in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 2 years of related work experience.
Technical/Associate Degree with 3 years of related work experience.
High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary designer on a project from kick-off to construction completion.
Coordinate all design aspects with other disciplines.
Provide schematic design information and equipment data to PM or senior staff.
Make calculations using engineering formulas and software for design.
Research and select equipment and fill out schedules.
Prepare drawings and sketches for final drawings.
Incorporate design concepts from schematic design into development drawings.
Organize and maintain project files and ensure access for team members.
Meet deadlines and adjust workload as project scope changes.
Attend in-house seminars and continuing education opportunities.
