Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Plumber to work on pipe systems for water, steam, and waste while training for a career that remains in demand. You will read drawings, plan layouts, and install and maintain plumbing fixtures across various materials.

After 10 weeks of Basic Training, seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) follow, preparing you to supervise others and inspect plumbing facilities. You will earn a regular paycheck during drill weekends.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Interest in math and shop mechanics preferred.
• Physical fitness required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating systems, basic water supply, and water distribution systems.
• Work on pipe systems for water, steam, and waste and install plumbing fixtures.
