Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks a Plumber to work on water, steam, and waste pipe systems, reading plans and installing fixtures. You’ll train for a career in a role essential to Army infrastructure, with duties including layout, installation, and maintenance of various piping materials.

Initial training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), with opportunities for advancement and the possibility of earning tuition assistance and other benefits as part-time service.

Qualifications

• Interest in math and shop mechanics is beneficial.
• Strong reading and comprehension of drawings, plans, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating systems, basic water supply, and water distribution systems.
• Read drawings, plans, and specifications to lay out pipe systems.
• Install and maintain pipe systems and plumbing fixtures.
