Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Plumber to maintain and install pipe systems for water, steam, and waste. You will read drawings, plan layouts, and install plumbing fixtures, working with different pipe materials and connections.

You will train while you earn a regular paycheck, with seven weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, and opportunities for tuition assistance, Montgomery GI Bill, and other benefits as you progress to Advanced Plumbing Specialist responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a physical exam.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must have high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating systems, basic water supply, and water distribution systems

Skills

Interest in math and shop mechanics

Preference for physical work
