Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Plumber to work on pipe systems for water, steam, and waste, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will read drawings, plan layouts, and install and maintain plumbing fixtures, serving the Army National Guard while earning a regular paycheck.

Earn while you learn with paid training, tuition assistance, and opportunities for advancement within the MOS as you gain experience and take on leadership duties on projects and inspections.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, plans, and specifications for pipe systems.
• Plan layout of pipe systems and install/maintain plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain heating systems, basic water supply, and water distribution systems.
• Train and supervise other Soldiers on plumbing tasks.
