Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Plumber to work on piping systems for water, steam, and waste, including reading drawings and plans and installing plumbing fixtures. You will help maintain heating and water distribution systems in a role that combines hands-on trade work with military service.

After Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, you’ll take on responsibilities such as supervising others and inspecting plumbing facilities, while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Requires military enlistment in the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating systems, basic water supply, and water distribution systems.
• Install and maintain pipe systems and plumbing fixtures; read drawings, plans and specifications; plan layouts.
