Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in Prince George’s County is seeking a Plumber II in the Building & Structures (Trade Shops) section. You will perform skilled plumbing and gas fitting work to install, maintain, repair, replace, or modify plumbing systems and gas piping in compliance with codes.

This position requires a Journeyman Plumber license and Gas Fitter certification, the ability to coordinate work with others, and availability for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved plumbing/gas fitting apprentice program or four years of progressively responsible experience.
• Two years of journey-level experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Valid Journeyman Plumber license and Gas Fitter certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled plumbing and gas fitting work per codes.
• Install, maintain, repair, replace, or modify plumbing systems and gas piping.
• Coordinate work with others and work without direct supervision.
• This position may require after-hours work.
