Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of vocational/technology courses preferred.
DPOR Backflow Prevention Device Worker certification or ability to obtain it.
Progressive experience in plumbing (generally 4+ years).
Knowledge of plumbing codes and safety practices.
Ability to use hand and power tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, modify, maintain, and repair plumbing, irrigation, and gas systems and equipment.
Diagnose defects and repair piping systems and fixtures with high quality.
Test and maintain pressure safety devices; perform preventive maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and complete work orders on time.
Maintain paperwork and time records; order materials as needed.
Perform on-the-job training tasks to develop plumbing skills.
